The Skanner visits Lonnie B Harris Black Cultural Center at OSU

Last week Bernie Foster, publisher of The Skanner News and Jerry Foster, advertising manager of The Skanner News, visited the Lonnie B. Harris Black Cultural Center at Oregon State University.

The Lonnie B. Harris Black Cultural Center opened in 1975 with support from the associated students of OSU, the Alumni Center and the community, and it was named for the first director of the Educational Opportunities Program. In 2015 the university broke ground on a new structure for the cultural center and the facility was occupied that fall.
