Portland Art Museum’s Rental Sales Gallery Showcases Diverse Talent

The Portland Art Museum’s Rental Sales Gallery (RSG) is welcoming 11 remarkable new member artists in a semiannual exhibition showcasing the freshest artistic voices from the Pacific Northwest. This New Member Artist Show will be open to the public from Friday, Dec. 6, through Saturday, Jan. 18, with an opening reception on Dec. 6 from 4 to 7 p.m., where attendees can meet the artists and enjoy a first look at their works, all available for both rental and purchase.

Located in downtown Portland, the Rental Sales Gallery is part of the Portland Art Museum. The nonprofit gallery represents almost 200 artists from Oregon and Washington state. The gallery makes original fine art accessible to all, through making all of the works in its inventory available for both purchase and rental. For a fraction of the purchase price, a client can rent outstanding original art for their home or business.

RSG has clients across the Portland Metro area and beyond, all enjoying this flexible and accessible way to enjoy fine art. Any work that a client rents can then be purchased, with a portion of the rental fees paid going towards the purchase price. RSG’s latest Member Artists represent a broad spectrum of styles, backgrounds and perspectives, creating a show as diverse as it is engaging. With works from abstract painting to evocative photography, and everything in between, this exhibition celebrates the individual journeys of each artist and the shared artistic landscape of the Pacific Northwest.
